Raccoon was laid to rest on September 30, 2006 on the family’s
mountain top in Linden, VA. That day family and friends came
together in the chestnut orchard for a Raccoon memorial.
It really hurt that Raccoon wasn’t there to sing us his wonderful
songs just like he used to do but we remembered and gave
thanks for the times we shared and the love he gave us all over
the years. Raccoon was a very special person who touched many
lives and brought many people together.

He was a true poet who will be greatly missed by all.
